Packing Fragile Goods for Inter-Island Shipping

Inter-island shipments go through more loading and unloading stages than local deliveries. A single package may change hands four to six times before reaching its destination.

Use wooden crates for ceramics, glass, and large electronics. Leave at least three centimetres of space on every side and fill it with cushioning material. Thick cardboard alone is not enough.

Clearly mark the top side and place the recipient’s phone number on two different sides of the package, not just one.
